Better Outdoor Portraits With Your Point & Shoot Camera!
You'll get better pictures if you use your flash outdoors when photographing people. You need to set the camera so the flash comes on all the time. Most point and shoot style cameras have a little "lightning bolt arrow" on the back of the camera. Use this button to scroll thru the different flash modes and select the "lightning bolt" or word "flash" or the word "on". Click the center round button to lock the flash setting in the on mode. If you leave the flash in the Auto mode and you're outdoors the camera will think there's enough light and the flash won't fire. So...turn the Auto Flash feature off on your camera. The flash will add a little sparkle in your subjects eye. It'll also brighten up the colors! It's very good to use when the sun is directly behind your subject or if you're subject is in the shade under a tree. Use your flash and you'll see a great big improvement in your photos!
