Hi,
I am reviewing your web site from past few days to buy a 52" LG52LG70. I am planning to buy a open box item with 5 year warrnatry from Vanns.
I have a couple of questions.
1. I have read some complains on the review sites about vanns.com where people got the item broken and they could not get it replaced. Their repeated tries yield no good for them.
I would like to see your comments on this note.
2. I am planning to buy a open box i.e the item has been repaired by manufacturer("As per your site description"). Since it is open box item, how well it would be packed since it has to be shipped to California.
3. I spoke with a customer rep today. If I dont like the TV for what ever reason, I have the ability to reutn the same back with in 7 days from receving it. I was told that I need to take care of the return shipping and there is a 20% restocking fee.
a. Since I am buying warrentry, would there be any restocking for the 5 year warrantry also.
b. I want to make sure that I have the right understanding and it is correct.
Apparently the price is attractive so I would like to decide based on your feedback for my questions.
Hey, thanks for checking out vanns.com and vannsfanns. Just to clarify, vannsfanns is more of a social site for people to get together and talk about all things Vann's. We are always happy to help, and I will address your questions, but for professional assistance please give us a call at 800-769-5668 or email salessupport@vanns.com. Ne ways, here is some info for ya....
1. If an item is delivered damaged, or arrives with a hidden defect just give us a call within 14 days and we will arrange for the item to be returned to us. This has always been the policy, the only variation is when dealing with sony laptops, apple products, software. This is clearly described on the sites return policy.
2. Vanns ships from coast to coast, when you buy a clearance item it is shipped the same way we would ship a brand new one, and it is fully insured. Now, that said clearance items are one of a kind and if it did get damaged you would receive a refund, not a replacment. NOTE: What you read on the clearance item is what you get, its not perfect, its been serviced and in someones home and shipped across the country at least twice.
3. Everything the rep on the phone told you is correct, and no there would be no restocking fee on the warranty.
Sounds like you are doing your homework, and that is a good idea! Good luck on your shopping and thanks for checking out Vanns!

After spending several years with my now archaic GPS I finally decided to upgrade. I'm currently enjoying the services of my new Garmin Nuvi. Though I have to admit that as I researched which unit to buy and what the future might be for the GPS mark…
