Vann's Fanns

Located way over in the east coast of this great economic power it's a little disconcerting to see a major city like Washington DC loose several electronics stores.
i.e.
1. Comp USA cut back on the number of stores several months back, gone from our local area, and
2. as of Jan 15 th 2009, Circuit City completely folded
(http://www.circuitcity.com).

In these uncertain economic times, are there any doubts on the future of Vanns?

Dear Valued Vann’s Customers,

During these uncertain economic conditions, it is easy to be preoccupied in the daily drama of the global financial markets. As Americans are we understandably anxious about how everything will unfold domestically, and across the world. We intently pray that the wisdom and discernment of our World Leaders will guide us carefully through this unprecedented economic crisis.

On behalf of Vann’s Executuve Leadership Team, we want to reassure each of you of the strengths of our company. Specifically, our financial position, market strength and exceptional business partner relationships are important credentials of our company. At the same time, we are prudent, decisive and chart our course with integrity to adapt our company quickly to the ever-changing business climate.

Founded in 1961, Vann’s enjoys a market position of diversity and strength. The combined synergy of our business segments; regional retail, national vanns.com online, and professional services have earned us a notable reputation as one of the most admired companies in the major appliance and consumer electronics industry.

Vann’s is in a much better position than many of its’ industry peers. Unlike numerous other companies, we have no debt, a solid relationship and revolving operating line-of-credit from the strongest mountain states regional bank, and significant inventory financing credit lines with world-class retail finance companies. These lines of credit are a vote of confidence from our financial partners and have provided us ample financial flexibility.

Our valued customers can count on every member of our team to provide exceptional value and continue our 48-year tradition of customer service excellence.

Sincerely,

George Manlove
President and CEO

Because of Cicuit City being a conglomerate and a nationwide chain, the CEO's failed to recognized customer's need and only focusing on redecorating a $3 million private restroom for their corperate headquarters.

Being an ex-employee of Circuit City as a Store Director I feel horrible about how the company turned out. I trully wish it had never gone thorugh its horrible leadership of waste and mis-management. It spent and wasted 2billion dollars in cash reserves from 2005 till its fate of 2009, it cost 42,000 americans there jobs and I wish things would have been different. Sometimes we dont get that luxury some people want to complain of local service some say oh big box cant survive well now all you have is best buy. I am proud to be a member here for Vann's I hope they remain strong but if not I hope you do not refer to them as you have ex circuit city employee's.

It's great knowing that a Montana company is doing well, and even if I don't live there anymore I can still buy from them, with no sales tax and free shipping! Thanks Vanns!
